Position: VP of Creative / Creative Director

Description

We are seeking a Creative Director or VP of Creative to lead, scale, and evolve our creative
department. This role will transform our creative team from an intimate talented group of skilled
experts into a high-performance creative organization that can support at least 3X our output.

You will define the creative vision, operational structure, and AI stack that enables Playbook
Media to deliver high-quality, high-volume creative efficiently. You’ll partner closely with strategy,
media, and analytics teams to ensure every piece of creative is informed by data and drives
measurable results.

intelligently across Paid Social, YouTube, TV, Retail Media, Display, and emerging digital

Responsibilities

Creative Leadership & Vision

  • Define and communicate the creative vision for Playbook Media across all channels —
    Paid Social, YouTube, TV, and Programmatic Display and Feeds.
  • Establish and evolve creative best practices, processes, and performance standards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the creative
    organization.

Team Building & Operations

  • Build, mentor, and scale the creative team over the next 18–24 months.
  • Design scalable workflows and structures to handle increasing client volume without
    compromising quality.
  • Partner with client services, strategy, and media teams to align creative output with
    campaign performance goals.

AI & Technology Integration

  • Lead the development and integration of an AI-driven creative production stack to
    enhance speed, personalization, and margin efficiency.
  • Stay ahead of trends in AI, automation, and generative tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Runway,
    Midjourney, Sora, etc.) to future-proof Playbook’s creative approach.
  • Implement frameworks to measure and optimize creative performance using AI insights
    and automation.

Client & Strategic Impact

  • Serve as the creative lead for top-tier clients, presenting ideas and campaigns with
    authority and strategic insight.
  • Translate client business goals into effective creative strategies and deliverables.
  • Contribute to Playbook’s thought leadership on the future of creative and advertising
    technology.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in creative leadership roles, ideally within performance
    marketing, digital agencies, or media-driven creative environments.
  •  Proven track record of scaling creative teams and systems from boutique to enterprise
    capacity.
  • Deep understanding of creative production across multiple channels (social, video,
    display, and web).
  •  Demonstrated experience integrating AI tools and automation into creative workflows.
  • Strong analytical mindset — comfortable working with data, testing frameworks, and
    performance metrics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Passion for blending art and technology to create meaningful, performance-oriented
    work.
